Joe Biden: Thinks Palin is good looking

Someone should ask the Democratic Veep nominee: Why are Sarah Palin's looks relevant? An LA Times' blog nails it, describing the "quip" as the beginning of "canny, seemingly good-natured-but-really-a-put-down jokes about a female candidate." Exactly. Source here.

“There’s a gigantic difference between John McCain and Barack Obama and between me and I suspect my vice presidential opponent,” Biden said.

“She’s good-looking,” he quipped.

This one should be dropped. If the GOP had picked (just for example) Brad Pitt for VP, Biden's response might have been the same. And nobody would have thought it _____ist.

Yeah. This is really reaching. After all I think Biden mentioned Obama's looks in a positive light - before he was his running mate. Remember he also said Obama was "clean." Imagine the outrage if he had said that about Palin!
