"Dismally unqualified"

Richard Cohen in the Washington Post writes a column with hypothetical debate questions for Obama/McCain and 3 of them deal with how ridiculous he thinks Sarah Palin is (a contention he never backs up). Can you say OBSESSED?
Senator McCain, I have a question regarding Sarah Palin: How could you?

Senator McCain, do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and wonder if history will forgive you for Sarah Palin?

Senator McCain, you are 72 and have had skin cancer several times. Given that -- not to mention the usual exigencies of life -- how could you pick a running mate who is so dismally qualified for the presidency?
How many times does it have to be pointed out to these columnists: Palin and Obama have comparable resumes.

This is a good undertaking, but you're missing the real insult to feminism here.

There have been tremendous women in politics, Republican and Democrat, and Palin is the first have a true shot at the highest office. Unfortunately she has proven she knows next to nothing about foreign or domestic policy. When paired with her educational background and "hockey mom" appeal, her candidacy is an insult to the progress of bright and qualified women everywhere.
